What This Does — and Doesn’t — Affect

• It does not affect our verdicts. Our scoring, badges, and written opinions are formed independently of whether a product has an affiliate arrangement with us. Products with no affiliate relationship are reviewed and scored using the same criteria as products that do.
• It does affect which products we prioritize covering. We are more likely to write in-depth reviews of products with affiliate programs available, simply because it supports the free content we publish. We may still cover, recommend, and highly rate products with no affiliate relationship.
• Compensation does not guarantee placement, ranking, or a positive review.

In-Content Product Placement

Software Cost Calculator results, “Recommended For You” modules, and any AI-generated content that surfaces specific products must carry the same short disclosure wherever affiliate links are present, per FTC guidance that disclosures must be clear, conspicuous, and as close as possible to the triggering claim — not just linked from a general policy page.
